National Wine Day of Moldova

3–4 October 2026

The largest wine celebration in Moldova, held every autumn since 2002, reaches its 25th edition. On 3 and 4 October 2026, from 10:00 to 22:00, Great National Assembly Square and Stefan cel Mare Boulevard in central Chisinau turn into one long tasting: 114 wineries, 49 of them small producers, pour their wines at their own stands. Admission is free; tastings run on the Carnetul Degustătorului tasting booklet (300 lei), which comes with a recyclable tritan glass and 10 tastings valid on both days, plus two more after filling in a feedback form. The programme also includes the Wine School with talks on PGI wines, native grapes and divins, and an attempt on 3 October at a Guinness record for the largest human image of a vine. The same weekend many wineries hold open days of their own. Organised by the National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV).
